Good News Back from the Field!

38 Bible Study Requests! We have received 38 requests for Bible studies since last issue and have passed those along to HTH congregations.  Studies received over the past year: 336.

Conversion in Lawton, Oklahoma: Steven Hill is the minister for the Sullivan Village church of Christ in Lawton, OK.  He shared this on Facebook last week.

"Yesterday I met a man named Allen who is on his deathbed. His health has reached a point where treatment options and surgical procedures are no longer a possibility.

He was saying that he wanted to be baptized for the forgiveness of his sins. He said he wanted to become a part of the true church of Christ. We asked him where he heard about this and how he learned this and he said he had been studying on his own for several months.

When we grabbed his bible that was sitting in the chair next to him we found a House to House Heart to Heart publication that he had been studying that we sent to his house with the title “Saved From Hell in a Philippian Jail.” http://www.housetohouse.com/saved-hell-philippian-jail/

He said he knew his time was limited and knew that he was a sinner and that he needed to be baptized to wash away his sins.

So we met with hospital staff yesterday, and today they were able to set up a plan in order to baptize Allen in their physical therapy pool. Please pray for Allen and praise God for the power of His word and the working of His providence!

“So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it” (Isa. 55:11).

“Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name” (Acts 22:16)."
